Managing people. By Managing States. Like a state machine.
The state of the output matters. Doesn't really matter how it changed from ont state to the other.
How thr human changes it from one state to the other is the art of the person, and a sense of pride for them. Never question the art of changing or the methods of the change. That is tantamount to micro manageing.
However if we articulate what the end state should be, or rather the next state, and then hold the person reponsible for reaching exactly that end state, there is a sense of freedom that they have, in the art they use to reach the next state. This is construed as reaching a higher level of standard. Perhaps inspirational for some.
