We buy a story. Not a product.
Thought experiment. If I ever did visit the place and spoke to this lady selling a shawl, and she told me a story of how Bohra shawls are different from all other shawls found in India, I would but it.
Not for the sake of the shawl. But because of the story I could tell others about the Bohra shawl and how I bought it.
Note to marketing department. We buy a story. Not necessarily a product.
So a VP might be buying this tool to tell a story to their boss. The CEO might buy it to tell a story to their subordinates.
Do we tell enough stories? Mind you, they must be TRUE stories.
