How does one categorize people by interest and intent?
Before we do this in the computer world, how do we do it in the real world?
How does one do it in the real world?
If someone is interested in something, they will talk about it. They will react to it. It does not matter whether the intent is benevolent or malicious, if they talk about it, it affects them. If they react to it, it affects them. It does not matter whether the effect on them is positive or negative. If they react to it, it concerns them.
The only exception is when someone is trying to do a Tsun Zu and trying to deviate, dissuade or distract. In such cases, an AI would be required to quiz and investigate intent to uncloak the deviousness.
For the purposes of this exercise, we will ignore the exceptional cases.
The next obvious question is what type of reactions do people show?
- Verbal
- Non-verbal
- Stop moving the mouse or the keyboard ( stop doing what they are doing and pay attention )
- Click a button which says "Take a Screenshot" during a video presentation.
- Click a button which says "Save 15 second clip" during a video presentation.
- Asked a question with some keywords inside ( with +ve or -ve Sentiment )
- Commented on something with some keywords inside ( with +ve or -ve Sentiment )
- Using the camera to detect eye focus and attention ( what if they were taking notes? )
- Increased volume
- Voted in a poll
- Lost focus of the web page ( how do you know they aren't taking notes? )
- Closed the web page
- Paused the presentation
- Muted the Audio
- Camera detects they left the place
- Window is behind all other windows ( does the rendering engine slow down ? )
- Abstained from voting in a poll ( bonus tip: zero mouse movement was detected! )
Rank them by aggregating some criteria and separate them into 80% and 20% categories.
