How to put a ball into the basketball hoop, Vectors for a good enough system.
Before system
1 basket in every 16 tries
After system
1 basket in every 4 tries
Highest performance
1 basket in 1 try.
Continuous 3 baskets. Replicated 1 time.
Continuous 2 baskets. Replicated 3 times.
Total time taken to discover system
90 minutes
Process is repeatable.
Vectors
1. Foot stance
2. Knee spring
3. Alignment of right hand with basket
4. Trajectory of right hand
5. Aim / intended target
6. Release method.
1. Foot stance must be below shoulders to support the body mass optimally. Feet pointing straight forward to enable springy knees like a squat.
2. Knee spring. Like a quarter squat. Spring must push up.
3. Alignment of throwing hand with basketball that the natural rotary motion of the shoulder acts like a catapult. Aim perpendicular to the body. Ball travels perpendicular to basket holder and in a straight line.
4. Trajectory of throwing hand. Mimic the basketball greats. Practice golf swing like mock throw so that alignment is right. Be sure to give a dunk action. With attitude. Ensure adequate power for propulsion.
5. Aim / intended target. As is in all things in life, don't aim for the basket, aim for just beyond it. Just above it. Ball must rebound from the board into the basketball hoop.
6. Release method. Make sure that the left palm supports the ball and does not spin it. Power, lift and direction is given by throwing hand. Left palm is only for support and as a counter balance.
